Insurance provider More Than has issued a warning for those travelling in the first months of the year to ensure their travel insurance is sufficient.
A new policy from More Than offers three different levels of travel insurance cover to suit a range of personal circumstances.
More Than is hoping that the flexibility provided by its new travel insurance range will encourage the 12 per cent of travellers who have no cover to consider one of the policies.
Keira Clark, head of travel insurance at More Than, said: "As a nation, were going on more adventurous and more risky winter holidays now than ever before."
"We have developed a brand new range of cover for travel insurance to make sure people are protected," she added.
The policies are available in economy, standard and premier versions, with additional options for winter sports, golfing and business trips.
More Thans family travel insurance policy includes children up to the age of 23, provided they are in full-time education, while the insurer provides a choice of single-trip or annual cover.
