Alliance & Leicester's DirectSaver account is a long term savings account with an enticingly high interest rate. The DirectSaver is limited to balances between £1,000 and £100,000 with interest is earned daily and paid monthly. Withdrawals can be made without notice (however, no interest will be earned during the month in which the withdrawal is made) with transfers made to a chosen current account. DirectSaver account holders can make the most of 24/7 access to their funds via internet or telephone.
