The Alliance & Leicester eSaver is an internet only savings account available to UK residents over the age of 18. The account can be opened with just one pound and comes with a decent rate of interest (including an additional bonus until 31/1/09) which is paid monthly into the eSaver or linked current account. A&L permit accountholders to make withdrawals without giving prior notice, however, they will not receive any interest on the account balance in any month in which a withdrawal is made.
