The new Alliance & Leicester Premier 50 Account is the first current account on the market aimed solely at over-50s. For a fee of £10 per month account holders can enjoy an excellent introductory APR (on balances up to £2,500) and an interest-free overdraft for the first year after which a charge of 50p per day is levied for overdraft use (up to a maximum of £5 per month).
