AXA PPP Private Medical Insurance

AXA’s UK private medical insurance policies come in two types depending on whether customers choose to declare their medical histories or not. Those opting for the former can obtain a fully underwritten policy, while those choosing not to declare can join on a moratorium basis, in which case policy holders can receive a 40% no claims discount buy they will not be eligible for treatment during the first two years of the policy for any existing medical conditions from the five years prior to taking out the policy.

As well as providing comprehensive cover for out-patient, day-patient and in-patient treatment, the benefits offered by AXA PPP’s private medical policies include a large choice of hospitals in which to receive treatment, cash payments for NHS treatment, parent accommodation, private ambulance cover and emergency medical treatment abroad.

AXA PPP also provides a number of ways to reduce the premiums on their PMI’s. These include increased excess amounts, paying annually and choosing a ‘6 week option’ which is available for most policies.
