Bad credit current accounts

People who have very poor credit ratings, such as those who have been declared bankrupt or those with outstanding CCJs, may find that the high street banks will turn down their applications for a bank account - even basic accounts with no credit or debit card features Unfortunately, day-to-day life in modern Britain can be difficult without the security and flexibility of a bank account and card payment facilities. The good news is that there are a number of accounts available that offer banking and card payment services to people with bad credit ratings - in fact, most of these account do not even require a credit check.

Typically, this is because these accounts do not extend credit to customers - instead card payments are carried out on a debit or prepaid basis.

Although there are often monthly charges as well as charges for using certain facilities such as cash withdrawals and topping up accounts, bad credit bank accounts offer a range of benefits similar to standard bank accounts including direct debit and standing order facilities and online and telephone account management.
