The Bank of Scotland International Fixed Rate Account is an offshore savings account with a choice of terms from 6 months to 3 years. There is a minimum initial deposit of £10,000 and once an account is opened accountholders are not permitted to make additional deposits (multiple accounts, however, are allowed). The accounts' respectable interest rates are fixed and customers can manage their funds online; however, customers wishing to access their money before maturation must close their account and pay a penalty fee.
