A relative newcomer to the internet service market, Be formed in 2004, however, its rapid growth resulted in its acquisition by the O2 Group in 2006. Be’s range is characterised, in their words, by ‘ludicrously fast’ broadband and highly competitive prices.
Be currently offer three broadband packages, all of which come with their free wireless router/modem – the Be Box – which can be self-installed as long as you have an existing BT line.
As well as their competitive prices and exceptionally high maximum connection speeds, Be’s other main selling point is that their two higher packages have no minimum contract length (as long as you give three months notice before cancelling your subscription), making them a good choice for students or other customers who may not make use a full year’s connection.
