Direct Line Home Emergency Cover

Direct Line's Home Response 24 membership is a home emergency policy that covers your household against any incidents that requiring professional callouts. Members using the service receive instant cover which entitles them to emergency help from Direct Line-approved tradesmen, a 12-month guarantee on work carried out and no limits

Membership comes in three levels providing differing levels of cover. The most basic option, Response, covers all call-out fees and the first hour's labour for plumbing and drainage, electrics, heating and security (external locks, doors and windows); with further work only carried out with the policy holder's approval at Direct Line's pre-arranged rates. The second package, Total Response, provides the same cover as the first but also includes the cost of parts and includes all labour up to £1,000 (inc. VAT) for each emergency. The final package (not available online) offers flexible membership allowing you to choose which types of emergency are covered.
