GEM Motoring Assist offers three different breakdown cover packages. The cheapest package, Roadside, provides you with roadside assistance should you break down 1 mile from your home and vehicle recovery for your car and up to 6 passengers to a garage within 15 miles if roadside repair is not possible.
The most comprehensive package, Recovery Extra, provides roadside and home assistance, recovery to any UK destination if roadside repair is not possible and compensation for onward travel expenses or emergency overnight accommodation if your vehicle cannot be repaired the same day (caravans and trailers also covered as standard). Unlike most comprehensive breakdown products on the market, the Recovery Extra Package also includes recovery if the sole driver falls seriously ill or in the event of accident, vandalism or theft.
The third policy available is Recovery Reclaim; priced in between the other two packages it provides the same cover as Recovery Extra, but the member pays garage fees on repair completion and reclaims appropriate repair, accommodation and travel expenses back from GEM Motoring Assist. This is a prudent option which, though not as convenient as the Recovery Extra policy, lowers the premium significantly.
All breakdown cover packages are competitively priced and are available in single, joint and family policies. Annual policy holders are also afforded free Club membership which includes a complimentary quarterly magazine and entitlement to a range of discounts on motoring, travel and insurance services.
