Halifax’s personal loans are split into two categories: low rate loans of between £7,000 and £25,000; and smaller loans of between £1,000 and £6,999 at a higher rate of interest. Both types of loan come with a choice of term length, fixed monthly repayments, no repayments for the first 3 months (although interest is charged from the start of the loan) and optional payment protection with three levels of cover.
Halifax’s secured loans are available for existing Halifax mortgage customers only. These multi-purpose loans are called a ’Further Advance’ and allow customers to choose from a range of fixed and tracker rate schemes with a choice repayment terms.
