The Post Office is urging drivers to compare car insurance policies to see if its new cashback deal can sweeten the taste.
It is offering £50 to all new customers to help pay for some in-car snacks during the upcoming half-term holidays.
And it revealed the findings of its recent research into the types of sweets parents are most likely to want while behind the wheel.
It said that overall, Extra Strong Mints are the UKs favourites, being chosen by most men. Women are more likely to go for Polos.
Phil Ashkuri, head of Post Office car insurance, said: "Munching on sweets in the car - whether youre moving or not - is a national pastime. Make sure youve got the right car cover, too."
Speaking of the £50 offer, he added: "Thats enough to buy everyone in the family their favourite sweets this half-term."
The offer is available to all new customers of Post Office car insurance, which was found to save consumers an average of £134 in an independent survey conducted earlier this year.
