Halifax has announced it is set to offer improved discounts to home insurance customers who buy their policy online or over the phone.
New customers to Halifax Home Insurance will now receive a 25 per cent discount when buying online and will earn a 15 per cent discount if purchasing via telephone.
The company claims that consumers can expect to save an average of £107 when switching to Halifax Home Insurance and this figure will rise when the discounts are added in.
The policies have the added bonus of offering £50,000-worth of legal expenses in the first year of the contract, should they be required.
David Norton, head of Marketing & PR at Halifax Home Insurance, commented: "We have cut our prices without cutting our cover.
"These discounts are further proof that we are committed to providing excellent value products for our customers."
New customers have until the end of December to take advantage of the offer.
