American Express insurance services has announced its 2007 travel insurance cover is available at prices starting from 11p per day.
Special prices were unveiled by the insurer to service the yearly rush in holiday bookings following the New Year.
Adults aged 18-65 may purchase individual travel insurance for £39, while family cover is available at £69 for two adults and under-18s.
The special prices apply to American Expresss annual policies, meaning individual cover costs 10.6p per day throughout the year.
However, after February 28th prices are set to revert to their previous £52 and £89.99 respectively.
Annual travel insurance cover from American Express is suitable for up to 93 days over the course of the year, with trips of up to 31 days at a time insured.
Incidents covered include medical expenses, lost luggage and cancellation of holidays, said by the insurer to be the three biggest causes of claims.
American Express travel services include its new travellers cheque card, which offers the security of travellers cheques but is accepted at American Express retailers worldwide.
