RAC

The RAC (previously known as the Royal Automobile Association) was formed in 1897, and four years later England saw the first uniformed RAC man out on the roads fixing cars. In 1999 The RAC was sold by the Royal Automobile Association to Lex Services plc, and then in 2005 to Aviva. If you visit the RAC online you will find the usual RAC breakdown products along with a host of new services, including insurance, vehicle checks, driving lessons and an online route planner as well as a vast range of motoring advice and information.
