Citibank has teamed up with another lender to offer customers protection products from August.
The partnership with Legal & General will allow Citibank to provide term assurance, critical illness and income protection with plans for future product expansion.
The bank has started the venture in order to add to its current wealth management and banking service, which currently includes investment advice, current and savings accounts, free financial health checks and an extended counter service.
"We are committed to offering superior products and services to consumers and are delighted to partner with Legal & General, the biggest provider of term and critical illness cover in the market," said Barbara Zito, head of insurance services as Citibank UK.
"Citibanks new range of protection products provides our customers with more choice when considering their financial needs," she said.
