Alliance & Leicester has announced its business banking customers may benefit from a new automated Post Office service to be implemented across the 14,300 Post Office branches nationwide.
Business banking customers who make deposits and withdrawals, as well as those who require a change-giving service via a Post Office branch, can now use a new card service.
This is in place of traditional paper stationery, such as withdrawal slips, previously used by Alliance & Leicester.
Steve Jennings, director of business banking at Alliance & Leicester commercial bank, said: "Alliance & Leicester commercial bank initially introduced the automated system for small business customers making deposits.
"Following the success of this pilot we have taken the decision to extend the automated system to other banking services and to incorporate all customers."
Mr Jennings added that the reduction in paper usage and increase in security mean the solution may be ideal for businesses of any size.
In addition to providing access to banking services via the Post Office, Alliance & Leicester commercial bank offers telephone and internet banking to corporate customers.
