Tesco now offer dental insurance with two types of policy – Premium Cover and Core Cover. Core Cover policies are designed for people who use an NHS dentist since it provides full reimbursement on all NHS dental appointments and treatments, but only limited cover for private treatment of dental emergencies and injuries.
Tesco’s Premium Cover policies, however, are aimed at people who visit a private dentist. Comprehensive cover is provided for maintenance and treatment with private dentists as well as increased cover for dental injuries. Both policies also provide cover for treatment of mouth cancer and all premiums are fixed regardless of a customer’s age or teeth condition.
