The Co-operative Bank, part of The Co-operative Group, can trace its origins back to 1872. The bank's pioneering vision led to its introduction of a customer-oriented ethical policy in 1992, a first of its kind amongst the world's financial institutions, meaning that it does not do business with unethical companies and organisations.

As well as a comprehensive range of products for remortgaging and home movers (including fixed rate, tracker rate, and discount variable rate schemes) they also offer an excellent portfolio of mortgages designed to help first time buyers get on the property ladder. This range comprises of discount and fixed rate schemes, no deposit, graduate and shared ownership products and parents as guarantors mortgages.
Furthermore, in line with their ethical agenda, for every year each individual mortgage exists, The Co-operative Bank will make a payment to Climate Care, an organisation committed to tackling global warming.
