Following the excesses of the Christmas period, the month of January may sometimes feel a little bit bleak for consumers whose finances are tighter than usual. However, there are ways to treat yourself and save a little extra money at the same time.

Pizza Express 50 per cent off
Pizza lovers may want to take advantage of a new offer at Pizza Express. Diners can get 50 per cent off pizza at the restaurant until Sunday January 17th. The offer is available all day, every day for parties of up to six people at your local Pizza Express restaurant. Simply register your details and print off the voucher.

Cafe Rouge Two for one
Those in the mood for a little French cuisine could enjoy a two-for-one meal at Cafe Rouge. The offer is valid for the a la carte menu at both lunchtime and in the evenings and diners can enjoy two specialty dishes, such as Poulet Breton - chicken breasts, leek & Paris mushrooms sauteed in white wine, herbs and cream with herb mash - while only paying for one. A printable voucher is available following the online registration. The offers ends on Sunday January 24th.

Zizzi Buy one get one for a pound
Savvy diners can eat out at Zizzi for less than you might expect by registering for a voucher that enables the second meal you buy to be bought for a pound. The offer is available to those who buy any main meal and they are then permitted to choose a dish from the Pizza and Calzone, Insalate or Pasta and Risotto sections of the menu for just £1. The offer is valid until January 31st.

Dominos Two for one Tuesdays
People who fancy a treat but would prefer to stay in their own home rather than venture outside into the cold may enjoy this ongoing offer from Dominos. No voucher is required to take advantage of it as every Tuesday any customer, whether ordering in store, online or over the telephone, will get two pizzas for the price of one. Just quote the offer over the phone or go to the meal deals section and pick the deal when ordering online.

Schweppes Abbey Wellwater Free swim
This offer could be a great way for adults to get swimming. Under 16s and over 60s can now swim for free thanks to a new government scheme so 17 to 59 year olds may enjoy a free visit to their local pool. The offer is available through the use of a bottletop from promotional bottles of Schweppes Abbey Wellwater. The offer expires on February 2nd.

A night at the theatre Free theatre tickets for under 26s
Those aged under 26 can get free tickets to the theatre across England. Those interested just need to visit the Arts Council website, enter a postcode and choose a participating theatre. They can then choose from available free tickets and call to book at the theatre's box office or book online.

Grand Designs Live Two for one tickets
Two for one tickets are available for Grand Designs Live. Based on the hugely successful Channel 4 TV series- presented by Kevin McCloud, Grand Designs Live is a consumer exhibition for contemporary design, offering visitors the chance to buy, build and furnish a house, all under one roof.
