With Valentine's weekend approaching there could be a few people out there in a panic about what to buy and how much it will cost. However, the day need not damage your finances too badly because, as ever, there are some great value deals to be had.

Marks and Spencer - a dozen roses Say it with roses
The old romantics out there could say "I love you" with a dozen red roses. Getting roses delivered can sometimes prove to be an expensive business and even more so approaching February 14th. However, Marks and Spencer are offering a dozen Fair Trade roses delivered between February 12th and 14th for £19.50.

Shopping around for perfumes can prove to be something of a nightmare approaching Valentine's Day and some men and women would probably prefer to avoid the hassle of trailing from store to store to compare prices. Morrisons offers a value for money and minimal hassle meal deal to cash-savvy shoppers up until February 14th. The supermarket is offering starters, mains, a side dish and desserts for two each from it's The Best range, with a bottle of wine for £8 in stores.

For the main course, there is a choice of either lasagne, fish pie or chicken and pancetta. Then choose from mashed potato, green vegetable medley or garlic tiger bread as a side.

And for dessert there is either melt in the middle chocolate or toffee puddings. The wine on offer is Bella Luna Pinot Grigio.

Play.com has a huge range of DVDs available and a romantic comedy could fit the bill for a Valentine's night-in perfectly. The Proposal, starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, is just £6.99 to own - that's just a few pounds more than it would cost to rent it for the evening. Pizza Hut Delivery's discount is available across Valentine's weekend. Couples can use the code online or quote the code over the phone or in a participating Pizza Hut Delivery store when they order their meal to receive the deal.

Couples may want to bear in mind that if they are planning to spend £15-£29.99, then it is worth making the order up to £30 and using the code to get 50 per cent off. However, the offer excludes drinks.
