The Virgin Climate Change Fund is an actively managed fund in which customers’ money is invested in specially chosen companies that have market-leading environmental policies. Customers must invest a minimum initial lump sum of £500 with subsequent deposits of at least £100; alternatively, they can opt for regular monthly deposits of £50 or more.
On the plus side there is no notice required to access funds and it offers the highest potential return of Virgin’s range of funds. However, this subsequently means that the risk is fairly high, and additionally, Virgin charges a 1.75% annual management fee plus a performance bonus if they exceed their returns benchmark.
