Admiral Bell Car Insurance
Bell Car Insurance was originally set up in 1997 as Bell Direct, when it used to specialise in insuring drivers with zero no claims bonus. Bell then became part of the Admiral Group, a financial services and car insurance provider founded in 1993. The Group is based in Cardiff, with other offices located across Wales and the globe. Admiral Bell now exclusively provides telematics insurance for drivers, which could help them save money on their car insurance. Admiral Bell is targeted primarily at younger drivers who may face high premiums from other car insurance providers and who could benefit from a black-box policy.
Admiral Bell car insurance aims to provide young drivers with a fair deal, enabling them to get a discount on their policy by proving they drive safely. Bell’s ‘Plug and Drive’ black box is a small device that can be plugged into most cars which tracks the driving habits of the individual. Drivers will be able to see their score and any advice that could help to improve it. Unlike many black-box insurance providers, Admiral Bell only requires drivers to use the box for a specified number of months in order to benefit from a discount. They have also removed some restrictions such as mileage limits and curfews, giving drivers more flexibility.
Drivers with Admiral Bell may also benefit from some additional features incorporated within their policy, depending on the level of cover they purchase. These may include stereo cover, glass repair, and use of a courtesy car. Drivers could also choose to add some optional extras to their policy, such as breakdown cover and a Bonus Accelerator policy.
Admiral Bell gives customers flexible payment options as they can choose to pay one annual sum or in instalments.
