The company operates from both Surrey and the Welsh town of Cwmbran, and is part of the larger organisation Hyperformance. Hyperformance specialises in offering motor insurance to drivers who may typically struggle to find good-value cover, including young drivers and owners of prestige, modified, or high-performance cars. Insure Your Motor particularly specialises in providing insurance to drivers with a difficult history, whether they have convictions (motoring and non-motoring), have a history of making claims, or have had any other issues with their insurance. Insure Your Motor aims to provide competitive car insurance policies for drivers with ‘non-standard’ circumstances, finding policies from their panel of insurers.

Customers can choose from the three standard levels of cover: comprehensive; third party, fire and theft; and third party only. Depending on which policy drivers take out, they may have some additional features included within their cover. Insure Your Motor also gives drivers the option of purchasing some extra products alongside their car insurance policy, should they want the additional protection. These may include breakdown cover, excess recovery, windscreen cover, personal accident cover, and key protection.
