Premium Choice was established in 1999 by Richard Dornan and Mark Woods with the aim of providing competitive motor insurance for more niche markets. The company is based in the West Midlands city of Wolverhampton and offers specialist insurance for a range of vehicles and drivers. Premium Choice tries to source affordable cover from different insurers for a variety of cases including: convicted drivers, young drivers, performance cars, classic cars, and imported vehicles. Although niche motor insurance is Premium Insurance’s main speciality, they do also offer policies for more ‘standard’ drivers and vehicles. The company aims to provide insurance that is tailored to individual needs and circumstances, whether individuals are classed as ‘higher risk’ or have a difficult driving history.

Premium Choice can provide drivers with different levels of cover including: third party only; third party, fire and theft; and comprehensive. Depending on which insurer the policy is taken out with, additional features may be included within the cover. If a customer wants more protection, they can furnish their policy with supplementary cover. Premium Choice customers could choose to purchase some optional extras including breakdown cover, windscreen cover, key care cover, excess protection, and legal protection.

Customers can pay for their car insurance in one annual payment or in a set of monthly instalments. Premium Choice also has a call centre based in the UK that can answer any queries customers may have. There is a dedicated claims helpline that customers can call 24-hours a day, should they be involved in an accident.
