Computerquote Pet Insurance
Computerquote is a personal lines insurance broker that was founded by Mel Stride in 1973. It is one of the group of businesses that makes up Stride Limited, a property and insurance services company. Computerquote aims to source competitive quotes for many different products including pet, motor, home, travel, life, and business insurance. The company is based in Denmead, near Portsmouth in Hampshire, and works with several leading insurers so customers can select a policy that suits their individual needs.
Computerquote provides several levels of pet insurance for dogs and cats, ranging from basic, accident-only policies to comprehensive lifetime cover. Except for the most basic policy, Computerquote’s pet insurance covers both accidents and illnesses, with the more comprehensive policies offering higher financial limits as well as a range of other benefits. These may include boarding fees, holiday cancellation cover, accidental damage cover, personal accident cover, and cover for loss by theft or straying. All Computerquote dog insurance policies also come with third party liability cover as standard.
Computerquote’s ‘Classic’ and ‘Ultimate’ policies offer “lifetime” cover, which means pets get continuous cover and conditions won’t become excluded as the policy limits are refreshed each renewal period, unlike the “standard” policy. Computerquote’s “standard” 12-month policy provides cover for specific accidents/conditions for a maximum of 12 months, or until the financial limit has been met. After this, the condition is classed as pre-existing so would no longer be covered under future policy renewals.
