Healthy Pets Pet Insurance
Healthy Pets was established by Mark Effenburg in 1996, and aims to offer good-quality cover at an affordable price. Healthy Pets caters for cats, dogs, rabbits, and can also source policies for exotic pets such as reptiles, parrots, and tortoises.
Healthy Pets offers many different levels of cover, from the most basic ‘accident only’ policies to a fully comprehensive policy with many additional benefits. ‘Accident only’ policies provide the minimum level of protection as illnesses and long-term conditions aren’t included in the cover. For pet owners who want further protection, there are a number of more comprehensive policies, which also offer a choice of higher limits of cover. ‘Bronze’ policies cover ongoing illnesses and may include a limited selection of other features such as overseas travel. ‘Gold’ policies offer many more benefits such as boarding fees, accidental damage cover, cover for theft/straying, and cover for advertising/rewards if your pet goes missing. This choice means customers can purchase a policy that is most suitable for them and their pet.
Owners of more exotic animals may also be able to find insurance via Healthy Pets. A number of policies are available that cover theft, accidental injury or death, and weather perils, depending on what is most suitable for your pet.
There are some breeds that Healthy Pets won’t insure. There are also certain terms relating to age and medical history that may affect the conditions of your policy.
