NCI Pet Insurance

NCI Insurance was initially established in 2000 as a breakdown recovery provider. It aimed to give people an alternative to the more well-known brands in the market by offering competitive rates and good customer service. The broker, which is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, has since expanded its range and now offers a range of personal lines insurance products for pets and cars. NCI’s pet insurance caters for dogs, cats, and rabbits, and aims to provide affordable policies that will meet its customers’ needs.

NCI provides standard (time limited) policies, maximum benefit policies, and lifetime policies for dogs and cats. As a minimum, these policies provide cover for vet bills in the event of injury or illness, up to the specified time or financial limit. Dog insurance policies will also generally provide third party liability cover. The more comprehensive policies come with additional features such as cover for theft/straying, boarding fees, cover for death by injury/illness, and quarantine or loss of documents cover. These policies also give pet owners a choice of different limits of cover, depending on what they consider necessary.

Pet insurance for rabbits provides cover for life, and will pay vet fees up to a certain amount per year. It covers emergency treatments and more long-term chronic conditions, as well as offering benefits such as boarding fees and the cost of advertising/rewards should the pet get lost.

The terms and conditions of each policy can change according to the age/history of the pet as, for example, you may have to pay towards the cost of any treatment once your pet reaches a certain age.

Services offered by this provider may change over time. Always check Ts&Cs.
