Boots Travel Insurance
Boots is a major health and beauty retailer in the UK, whose roots can be traced back to a Nottingham herbalist store founded by John Boot in 1849. Over the years Boots has expanded the services it offers, and is now a provider of travel insurance through its partnership with Travel Insurance Facilities Plc. They aim to offer customers affordable policies, and particularly specialise in tailoring travel insurance for individuals with medical conditions. Boots tries to give customers peace of mind whilst they are on holiday by giving them quality cover at a competitive price.
Holidaymakers can choose from a single trip, multi-trip, or long stay travel insurance policy. These come with differing levels of cover, from a basic policy that includes minimal protection, to a fully comprehensive policy that has higher financial limits and numerous additional features. All policies tend to include cover for delays, cancellations, possessions, and emergency medical attention. The more comprehensive policies also include cover for medical treatment in the UK, for securing your home whilst you’re away, and for if you can’t use your booked accommodation.
Some add-ons are available to purchase alongside a Boots travel insurance policy, such as cover for winter sports, cruises, gadgets, and force majeure events. Some of these may already be included in the more comprehensive policies, so it is best to check policy documents to see what cover you already have. Boots also offers a range of activity packs that provide cover for many different sports and leisure activities, depending on what you will be doing on holiday.
Boots aims to provide good-value travel insurance to people with pre-existing medical conditions. Conditions they may cover include diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, cancer, epilepsy, and a range of mental health conditions.
