Co-operative Travel Insurance

Co-operative Travel is part of the Midcounties Co-operative, which is itself part of the wider Co-op brand. The Midcounties Co-operative is based in the Midlands, and its history can be traced back to 1853 when Swindon’s society was first formed. Over time, Swindon and the other branches merged to create the Midcounties brand in 2005. Although Midcounties is a regional member of the Co-operative, it has teamed up with ROCK Insurance Group to offer travel insurance across the UK. They aim to offer quality cover at an affordable price for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Co-operative Travel Insurance gives holidaymakers the option of purchasing single trip policies or annual multi-trip policies. There are three levels of cover to choose from, which offer the usual features including cover for trip cancellations and curtailments; personal possessions such as money, passports, and other baggage; medical expenses; legal expenses and personal liability. Co-operative also covers holidaymakers for a range of different activities such as snorkelling, water skiing, safari treks, and more.

The most comprehensive policies can offer additional cover for golf, business equipment, and weddings as standard. Whilst these features are not available to purchase as optional extras with the less comprehensive policies, there are some other extensions that any customer can purchase. Gadget cover can be added to a policy, as can cruise cover and winter sports cover.

Co-operative travel insurance policies are available for holidaymakers into their 70s. Any children under the age of 2 years old can also be added onto an insurance policy for free.
