Admiral Van Insurance
Admiral is a leading UK insurance firm that was established in 1993 by American businessman Henry Engelhardt. The Cardiff-based company specialises in providing good-value and high-quality insurance products for cars, vans, homes, and more. Although it started off by providing car and home insurance, it has since diversified its product offering to include travel insurance, motorbike insurance, pet insurance, specialist motor insurance, and even car finance and personal loans.
Admiral offers three levels of van insurance: comprehensive; third party, fire and theft; and third party only. They also cover vans for a range of uses including social, commuting, transporting own goods, and haulage/transporting third-party goods. This enables drivers to choose the policy that suits their particular circumstances and needs, whether their vehicle is necessary for their job or they only use it intermittently for day trips. Admiral’s comprehensive van insurance policies include some extra features as standard including windscreen repair, European cover, use of a courtesy van, and cover for fitted audio or visual stereo equipment. Personal injury cover, personal belongings cover, and a no claims bonus may also be available to comprehensive policyholders.
If van drivers want additional protection, Admiral offers some extra features to supplement their policies. For example, they offer motor legal protection, varying levels of breakdown cover, and a ‘goods and tools’ upgrade. This extends protection to cover the contents of your van, including tools and stock, in the event of theft or damage.
Admiral also has the option of black box van insurance, where a device is fitted to the vehicle to track driving habits. Not only does this particular policy reward safer drivers, the device can also be used to find the vehicle if it gets stolen.
If customers own more than one van, they may be able to cover them all on one single policy.
