Brightside Van Insurance
Brightside Insurance was originally called Commercial Vehicle Direct Insurance Services, a specialist van insurer that was formed in 2001. The company expanded into other areas, including specialist car, home, and business insurance, with the Brightside Van brand launching in 2016. Brightside is located in a village near Bristol called Aust, and works with a range of insurers to source good quality, competitive policies for drivers that meet their specific requirements. As well as standard policies, Brightside also aims to offer specialist insurance that caters for more unique vans, such as refrigerated vans or converted/modified vehicles. Drivers with a history of claims and/or convictions may be able to find a suitable van insurance policy too.
Brightside offers third party only; third party, fire and theft; and comprehensive van insurance policies, depending on how much protection drivers need. They can also choose a policy which suits how they use the vehicle, whether it’s social, domestic and pleasure; haulage (for carrying third party goods); or carriage of own goods (if you use your van for work and to transport your own goods). Depending on the level of cover purchased and which insurer provides the policy, Brightside customers may benefit from some extra features. These could include windscreen cover, personal accident cover, European cover, and cover for audio, entertainment, and navigation systems.
A range of optional extras are also available from Brightside, such as breakdown cover, replacement vehicle cover, key cover, excess protection, motor legal protection, and tool cover. People using their vans for business use may be able to purchase goods in transit cover to protect the contents of their vehicle.
Brightside also offers fleet insurance for businesses wanting to insure multiple vans.
